BANDCAMP
Bootcamp for emerging musicians
BANDCAMP, the Gold Coast’s only full-day industry intensive for emerging musicians, is back in 2024 after a sell-out event in 2023!
BANDCAMP, presented by the Gold Coast Music Network, is designed to give emerging musicians and artists a leg up in their career: an opportunity to explore their goals for the future and the barriers to achieving those goals.
Industry experts will share their knowledge and insights on a range of topics relevant to emerging musicians, including:
- The Business of Music
- Representation and Bookings Agents
- Taxation, Deductions and Record-keeping
- Royalties and Payment
- PR and Marketing
- Mental Health for Musicians
- Grant-writing
- Building Relationships in the Australian Music Industry
…and so much more!
Participants will work on personal goal-setting, join in small group discussions, facilitated panels, roundtables and Q&A sessions where they’ll receive tailored advice on their career, pick the brain of industry experts, network with other musicians, and build connections.
Artists will leave with a plan in place for the next 2 – 3 years as well as a new level of understanding and awareness about the music industry and strategies for success.
Guest speakers include:
- Josie Cooper – Accountant
- Brad Hinds – East West Presents, Oztix
- Brad Hosking – Southern Cross University, Blind Boy Studios
