Gold Coast Artists Shine as Finalists in the Queensland Music Awards

The Gold Coast’s thriving music scene is making waves once again, with a stellar lineup of local artists earning finalist spots in the 2025 Queensland Music Awards. Celebrating the state’s most exceptional musical talent, this year’s nominations highlight the diversity and depth of artistry emerging from the Gold Coast.

Among the nominees is rising country star Lily Grace, whose track ‘Old Enough To Know Better’ has secured her a finalist position in the Country Award category. Known for her heartfelt storytelling and captivating vocals, Lily Grace continues to cement her place as one of Australia’s most promising young country artists.

In the Blues and Roots category, the ever-soulful Sunny Luwe earns recognition for her track ‘We’ve Got the Power’. A dynamic artist blending rich blues tones with infectious melodies, Sunny’s nomination reaffirms her status as a powerhouse in the genre.

Gold Coast’s heavy music scene is also well represented, with hard-hitting outfit Wildheart landing a finalist position in the Heavy Award category for their track ‘The Darkest Path’. Known for their raw energy and thought-provoking lyrics, Wildheart continues to push boundaries and elevate the Australian heavy music scene.

The Gold Coast dominates the Soul, Funk, and R’n’B category, with two homegrown talents making the finalist list. Beckah Amani is nominated for her deeply moving track ‘Sober’, while rising star Tanisha earns recognition for her soulful anthem ‘Things Bout You’. Beckah Amani’s success doesn’t stop there—she also secures a nomination in the Regional and Remote category, further solidifying her impact in the Australian music landscape.

The Queensland Music Awards celebrate artistic excellence across a broad spectrum of genres, and this year’s Gold Coast nominees showcase the city’s incredible musical diversity. With artists spanning country, blues, metal, and R’n’B, the Gold Coast continues to affirm its place as a hotbed of creativity and talent.

The winners will be announced at the highly anticipated Queensland Music Awards ceremony, set to take place in Brisbane. Music lovers can find out more and secure tickets at QMusic.

Congratulations to all the finalists—no matter the outcome, Gold Coast music is already winning!
