Issy Schoonenberg

Isabella (Issy) is an experienced marketing and events professional with a passion for woking in the arts and culture space. 

After completing a Bachelor of Communications/Business, Issy kicked off her love for events as Festival Coordinator of the Gold Coast Film Festival, where she was part of the small team that grew the 12-day event into Queensland’s largest film festival.

Now working as a freelance social media, marketing and events consultant, she’s worked with some of the Gold Coast – and Queensland’s – most-loved events and cultural organisations, including the Gold Coast Music Network, HOTA Home of the Arts, Blank Street Press, Asia Pacific Screen Awards, Nevertheless Journal, Golden Ticket Motel, and Major Events Gold Coast. 

Her music taste runs far and wide, and she’s always keen to dig in to the Talent On Tap new music column each month to discover new local artists. She is the certified Swiftie on the team, and loves a good carpool karaoke.
