HOLLOW COVES

Hollow Coves is the indie-folk voice of connection to beauty and community—a reminder to look inside the self and embody gratitude for the natural world. Living on the Gold Coast and weaving their own perspective on paradise, Matt Carins and Ryan Henderson are equal parts songwriters and vocalists, alternating lead roles to best serve the song.

2017 saw the release of Hollow Coves’ debut EP ‘Wanderlust’ which featured fan favourite ‘Coastline’. The track became one of the top 10 most-used songs on Instagram reels in 2021 and was certified Gold in both Canada and Australia. Their 2024 album, ‘Nothing to Lose’ boasts more than 25 million streams and earned the #1 spot on Apple’s singer-songwriter album charts in Netherlands, Indonesia and Switzerland and a top 3 spot in Germany, Belgium, Brazil and Canada.

Driven by the energy of their audience, a grounding oceanside lifestyle, and a sound that genuinely reflects their mindset, the band continues to push forward to live their own recipe for a good life.

🏆 Hollow Coves are regulars on the GCMA finalist lineup and have taken home wins for 2024 Artist and Release of the Year for ‘Nothing To Lose’, as well as 2018 Breakout Artist and Song of the Year for ‘Coastline’.

JK-47

If you’re a Hip Hop fan in Australia, you probably already know the name JK-47. Whether you know him as the 2024 ARIA award winner, triple j Unearthed Artist of the Year, or from his jaw-dropping Like A Version twist on ‘Changes’ by 2Pac, you would already know that the talented Indigenous artist is a force to be reckoned with.

At the age of 14, JK-47 began writing rhymes and rapping. Over the years, his name has become all too familiar, not just on home turf in the shire of Tweed, but also right across the Australian hip-hop landscape. His ability to put pen to pad and produce timeless lyrics, painting pictures with his music, is second to none.

Having already scored a triple j feature album with his stellar debut ‘Made For This’ and with his sophomore album ‘Revision For Regrowth’ out in the universe, the world has only just begun to see what JK-47 is capable of. The man is on a mission to touch the hearts and minds of those not just in his home country, but all around the world. A mission he will achieve.

🏆 JK-47 won Song of the Year for ‘Lullaby’ at the 2024 Gold Coast Music Awards and was also a finalist for Artist, Live Act and Release of the Year.

GIRL AND GIRL

Gold Coast garage quartet, Girl and Girl, made their international debut at The Great Escape 2023 and were quickly invited back to Europe for appearances at Pitchfork Paris, Rolling Stone Beach (GER) and a packed main room at London Calling (NL).

After releasing their debut album ‘Call A Doctor’ in 2024, the band was listed as one of NME’s Unmissable Acts at SXSW 2024 and were later named one of Rolling Stones’ ‘Best of SXSW’. Call A Doctor’s lead single ‘Hello’ garnered much excitement, debuting at #1 as the most added track on US Alternative stations above Vampire Weekend and Warpaint, and receiving widespread praise — “a sonic explosion that demands attention” (Forte Mag), “it trembles and blisters with a Talking Heads/The Strokes New York sense of urgency” (Backseat Mafia).

With infectious hooks and surprising emotional intensity, Girl and Girl is an undeniably good time.

🏆 Girl and Girl were awarded the inaugural Gold Coast Music Prize in 2022, took home Breakout Artist of the Year in 2023 and were finalists in four categories in 2024 for Artist, Live Act, Song and Video the Year.

BECKAH AMANI

Fresh off a breakout year, Beckah Amani has solidified herself as one of Australia’s most captivating live performers. From supporting Jorja Smith on her Australian tour to being invited by Coldplay to join them on stage in Melbourne, Beckah’s electrifying presence and powerful vocals have won over audiences on major stages.

Her debut album ‘This is how I remember it.’ (released November 2024) has further cemented her status, earning widespread critical acclaim, a Cover Star feature in NME UK, and continued support from triple j, BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music and across DSPs.

Recognised for her songwriting and artistry, Beckah was nominated for APRA’s Emerging Songwriter of the Year in 2024 and previously won the APRA Professional Development Award in 2023 and multiple QMA wins.

🏆 Beckah won the Gold Coast Music Awards Song and Video of the Year for ‘Standards’ in 2021, was an Artist, Musician, Release, Song and Video of the Year finalist in 2023, and has performed at the #GCMusicAwards in 2021 and 2023.
